Monticello Grower's Market

Please call before you come ....  this is a small market and there is some break between the seasons!

Tupelo's Bakery & Cafe is proud to work in collaboration with the Florida A&M University Statewide Small Farms Program to create an all natural, organic grower's market in our community.  This market is hosted inside at Tupelo's and takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Growers of any size are welcome and encouraged to participate every day or as they wish.  This is a great opportunity for natural, organic gardeners to meet the public and sell their produce, fruits, seedlings, honey, eggs, etc.  There is a warm and welcoming environment for this market here at Tupelo's.  We feel that this is a first step in helping Jefferson County Florida to gain attention as a destination for great natural and organic foods as well as a wild, beautiful ecotourism location.

To participate in this market simply visit our listing online at www.LocalHarvest.org or call Tupelo's directly at 850-997-2127.  Dr. Jennifer Taylor facilitates the farms involved and ensures that they are practicing natural and organic methods.  The gracious involvement of FAMU helps to promote these markets throughout our Big Bend region.  You may reach Dr. Taylor at 850-590-8207.

We normally have participation by the following at our Grower's Market:
  • Holly Hill Farm
  • Lucille's Local Eggs
  • Full Moon Apiary (booth is always available/open during business hours)

Holly Hill Farm will return in the late Spring of 2010 with fresh, naturally grown plants and vegetables!
